Sanctuary home space workshop. At various festivals I’ve delighted in presenting a series of workshops. These are designed to encourage people to express their aspirations for creating a dedicated space within their home. I call these Sanctuary home space. This is where you can spend time-out, to pause a while. To nourish and nurture your hobbies, your soul, your mind and body.
Pictures tell a thousand stories. To illustrate the variation in themes I have selected images from some of the workshops. Participants selected a life event that they wanted to celebrate, or to be at peace with or envisage a change. To start the design and creative process of a sanctuary home space for themselves.
What is a sanctuary home space?
A sanctuary is somewhere where we feel safe and comfortable. It may be a place or area away from our normal scope of work. A space we retreat to at the end of a day or vacation to. For example the holiday home. In my workshops the interpretation I put on a sanctuary is for it to be personalised to bring the user a feeling of purpose and fulfillment. Typically this would be to experience one or more of these emotional states. Of joy, honour, calmness and intention for something and or someone. In our society I believe we have lost the art of sacred and ritual in our modern life and that’s what inspires me with these workshops for group. One of my joys is working closely with clients and helping them create something unique for themselves.
I work with …
Interior designers, interior decorators, Feng Shui consultants and private clients. I offer Clutter and Organising services. As sometimes clients need to have a clear out and organise before creating a sanctuary home space.
